The Winemaker's Table Series

For the aspiring... or well established ‘winophiles’ and ‘foodies’!

This series of lunches and dinners are intimate occasions. Hosted by a leading winemaker, they will select a range of their favourite wines that will be matched by a Hunter chef who will talk you through their creations using local produce. Bookings are essential. Participating wineries and restaurants include:

McGuigan Dinner 2011

Hosted by Neil McGuigan, International Winemaker of the Year (IWSC) and International White winemaker of the Year (IWC), this is a wine dinner not to be missed.

An annual event, this year's dinner will be held in the McDonalds Road Winery adjacent to the McGuigan Cellar Door. The evening will showcase some new releases including the 2009 Personal Reserve Shiraz – just perfect for winter celebrations, and will feature the culinary talents of Chef Jean- Marc Pollet of the Hunter Valley Steak House.

Tower Estate at 'Nine'

Taking place in Tower Lodge's award-winning Nine, Executive Chef Daniel Hunt has created a seasonal menu using where possible local produce, which will be complimented with back vintage and current release Tower Estate Hunter Valley Semillon, Chardonnay and Shiraz.

Nine is located nine feet underground in the original Tower Estate cellar, providing guests with an intimate dining experience. Tower Estate winemaker Samantha Connew will be present to discuss the wine and food matching. This dinner is limited to 16 guests.
