Learn more about your favourite wine variety and the different characteristics the vineyard can produce, understand the wine show judging process and the aging process of Hunter Valley Shiraz.  This series of events will be hosted by Hunter Valley winemakers and wine educators in small groups, allowing an in depth understanding of the various attributes of Hunter Valley wine. It allows guest to ask all those questions they’ve been too nervous to ask and widen their knowledge and understanding of Hunter Valley wines.

De Bortoli – “The Hands Off Approach”
 
Join the team at De Bortoli Wines for a fun and provocative tasting, discovering cool wines grown in a warm climate here in the Hunter Valley!

Learn how “ORGANIC” farming in the vineyard and “hands off approach” in the winery combine to deliver our philosophy of producing wines that are a “natural expression of the vineyard”.

Upon conclusion alternative varietal wines will be offered to wash down a selection of Italian Cheese, Salami and Pane Croccante.

Mistletoe Fireside Vertical Tasting
 
Ken and Gwen Sloan, the founding owners of Mistletoe Winery, request the pleasure of your company for a vertical tasting of their Reserve range of wines. Taste the very best of Mistletoe’s range whilst enjoying a selection of tapas by the fireplace in Cellar Door (incorporating the Mistletoe Gallery).

Like listening to great music requires the right acoustics, great wine needs the right glass to show you everything it has to offer. Tulloch Wines are proud to partner with the new glass designer PLUMM to introduce you to the range of glassware designed by the wine industry that will enhance your wine experience. The PLUMM glassware used in the tasting is yours to keep. Each person will receive two white wine glasses and two red wine glasses valued at $110. The tasting will be accompanied by a selection of local Binnorie Cheese, Pukara Olives and antipasto for you to enjoy.

Salute Sangiovese
 
Tintilla Estate, the home of Sangiovese in the Hunter, will celebrate the contribution of this elegant Italian varietal to the contemporary mix of fine wines coming out of the Hunter with a retrospective tasting of vintages going back over ten years.

An alfresco lunch on the deck at Tintilla served with the latest releases of the 2007 vintage Saphira Sangiovese and the 2007 vintage art series Catherine d’M Sangiovese Merlot.
Tintilla olives and Tapenade will be on hand as well as out Sangiovese verjus.
