Pure Wine Indulgence

For the aspiring “winemaster’ or those of us who just want to know more.

Learn more about your favourite wine variety, the different characteristics the vineyard can produce, and the essential steps in the winemaking process. This series of events will be hosted by Hunter Valley winemakers and wine educators in small groups, allowing an in depth understanding of the various attributes of Hunter Valley wine.
Widen your knowledge and understanding of Hunter Valley wines during a relaxed and intimate dinner with the experts - who will be only too happy to answer all of your questions.

 

De Bortoli – “The Hands Off Approach”
 
Join the team at De Bortoli Wines for a fun and provocative tasting, discovering cool wines grown in a warm climate here in the Hunter Valley!

Learn how “ORGANIC” farming in the vineyard and “hands off approach” in the winery combine to deliver our philosophy of producing wines that are a “natural expression of the vineyard”.

Upon conclusion alternative varietal wines will be offered to wash down a selection of Italian cheese, salami and pane croccante.

Mistletoe Fireside Vertical Tasting

Tulloch Wines and PLUMM Wine Glass Masterclass
 
If you care about the wine you drink, you should also care about the glasses you drink from. The right glassware can mean the difference between a good glass of wine and a great one. Like listening to great music requires the right acoustics, great wine needs the right glass to show you everything it has to offer.

Salute Sangiovese
 
Tintilla Estate, the home of Sangiovese in the Hunter, will celebrate the contribution of this elegant Italian varietal to the contemporary mix of fine wines coming out of the Hunter with a retrospective tasting of vintages going back over ten years.

An alfresco lunch on the deck at Tintilla served with the latest releases of the 2007 vintage Saphira Sangiovese and the 2007 vintage art series Catherine d’M Sangiovese Merlot. Tintilla olives and tapenade will be on hand as well as out Sangiovese verjus.

Catherine Vale Vineyard Semillon Vertical Tasting
 
Visit Catherine Vale at Broke each weekend during June for a fabulous Semillon vertical tasting, or treat your palate to some amazing Italian alternative varieties.

Experience the differences of five vintages with a dedicated Catherine Vale Semillon vertical tasting. Groups of four or more can also pre-order a seafood snack for $5 per person to accompany the tasting. Bookings for groups are required by Thursday each week.

Over the last nine years, Catherine Vale has pioneered the Italian red grape varieties of Dolcetto and Barbera, and now offer their first vintage of Arneis – an Italian white variety dating back to the 15th century
