Hunter Valley Wine and Food Month - Fabulous Food
The Hunter Valley Experience allows visitors to enjoy its wines not only at the Cellar Door, but also married with the fabulous food and produce grown locally in the region.
Highly awarded restaurants and casual cafes can be found amongst the wineries in picturesque settings overlooking the vines, all featuring the produce of the Hunter in their menus.
Produce in the region includes fabulous cheeses, olive oils and olive products, breads, chocolates, beef, poultry, game and local seafood.
The olive industry is rapidly growing within the region; visitors during May will be able to experience the olive harvest being some of the first to taste the seasons crush.
Hunter Valley Wine and Food Month will feature produce tours and meet the maker talks with cheese makers, olive growers and snail growers; dinners featuring the chefs and produce of the region; food and wine matching sessions and many other food and wine related events giving the visitor to meet the makers, chefs and producers first hand. |
